Best of Friends Cafe

Great for bakery items, snack, casual meal & dog friendly! Very friendly service where the owners get to know their customers. I was looking for a place to take my boys after school for a snack and noticed there was a new cafe in the building at Tustin Sports Park. We all got their yummy bakery items made by the owners...huge brownies, various cheesecakes and deluxe rice krispie treats. We sat outside and after my boys ate they played on the nearby slides while I sat at the table and watched. The cafe's menu board outside makes you think they just serve snacks, but walk inside to see their bakery case and your eyes will light up...cakes and cheesecakes available by the slice, cupcakes, scones (served with cream and homemade jam) and various cookies. Just from looking, I was thinking of ordering cookies for an upcoming event, so I brought my whole family back for a casual dinner the next day to try them. Everyone liked their deluxe hot dogs and sandwiches, which came with a couscous salad and cookie. We also noticed the menu has a special dog section with dog-friendly entrees and treats and dogs are welcome at the outside tables. The jars of crayons on the inside tables enticed us to have some fun with their coloring sheets featuring silly sports images like racing hot dogs. We tried various cookies and I placed an order for three of their fancier ones (Russian tea cake, toffee coconut chip and cherry cordial) and ginger scones for our event. Everything was ready when I came to pick them up and they provided an easy way to load my car. I'm so glad I ordered from Best of Friends (because another bakery where I was getting some strawberry croissants lost my order even after I paid and confirmed)! Everyone at the event liked the bakery items and they were a good price. Next I'm planning to order one of their amazing looking tall cakes for my son's birthday. Support this "mom and pop" business and you'll be happy you did!

Excellent baked goods for a party or a treat for yourself! Love their cupcakes, cookies and brownies. Friendly customer service as well.

Our FedEx driver told us about this place. We were getting a lot of food delivered so that is how the discussion came up. We ended up trying it and were very pleasantly surprised! The staff is super friendly, the food is very fresh and there are lots of options. The deserts here are also awesome, from cakes to cookies they are all fresh. We love that it is at the park because we can eat outside and enjoy the weather! Come check it out if you want awesome food and friendly service!

I mean to start off the food is delicious! No questions asked a variety of options. Desserts are great, but the, what I assume, are the owners are awesome. I came in with my son who battles anxiety. One of the things we are practicing is just being able to speak to people outside of the home it is overwhelming for him. So we went in today to order a slushy for him. He had to order though. This was after a lot of practice and setting this goal. When we got there he had a panic attack, got scared, cried. I tried everything we had been practicing deep breathing etc. One of the employees which I assume may be an owner came over initiated a conversation with my son got him talking, was being kind and patient and really went out of his way and I can not express how thankful I am for that act of kindness. He didn't have to but he did and it helped my son so much. So thank you.

Delicious food, amazing service. So glad my friend introduced me to this place. Oh and if you need to order a cake or have any catering needs give them a try. You’ll be glad you did!

Found this little gem in the middle of an awesome park that I took my pups. NOT your average cafe; it's way better. They have a varied menu with something for everyone and a large sweets/dessert menu as well ranging from brownies to cakes. All is made on location. Fresh ingredients, VERY generous portions, happiest employees, and great overall value. Check it out; you won't be disappointed.

The staff are incredibly kind, one time, they even let us choose the color of frosting and the type of sprinkles we could get. The cupcakes there are so amazing, totally blew my mind . Sprinkles are so creative and very beautiful. Would recommend without hesitation.

Best Carrot cake ever !! This is the best carrot we ever had in all orange county.The texture is amazing, the cake was moist and the flavors and ingredients work perfectly. Just the right sweetness, the service and the staff was the best too. Five stars totally recommended !! :)
